Bayern-PSG: el capítulo decisivo de un desafío galáctico
PSG predicted lineup and team news vs Bayern Munich
PSG travel to the Allianz Arena to take on Bayern Munich on Wednesday night in a decisive second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final. librea.one
The French side comes into the game as the current Champions League holders and is also six points clear at the top of Ligue 1 with just three matches left to play. Their recent results have been slightly inconsistent — they edged a dramatic 5-4 win in the first leg but then drew 2-2 with Lorient after making numerous substitutions.
Going forward, Paris Saint-Germai remains one of the most dangerous teams in the competition, having taken a tournament-high 282 shots so far. However, their record away at Bayern is not encouraging.
PSG team news
Luis Enrique faces a major selection issue in defence after losing a key player to injury. Right-back Achraf Hakimi has been ruled out for several weeks with a hamstring problem picked up in the first leg.
Warren Zaire-Emery is expected to fill in at right-back, which could allow Fabián Ruiz to step into midfield alongside Vitinha and Joao Neves.
PSG will also be without goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou. Despite those absences, their attack remains strong.
Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are both expected to return to the starting lineup after being rested at the weekend.
Along with Desire Doue, they will aim to take advantage of Bayern’s high defensive line on the counter as PSG look to defend their one-goal advantage and reach the final.

Possible PSG starting XI: Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Rasmus Hojlund: Napoli confirm summer stance
Manchester United have agreed their first major deal of the summer, as per the latest reports.
Rasmus Hojlund, who joined Napoli on loan last summer, is all set to stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after agreeing a new long-term deal with the Italian giants.
The defending Serie A champions had the option of turning the Dane’s loan move permanent in case they qualified for the Champions League.
According to The Daily Mirror, Gli Azzurri have confirmed their intention of keeping the United misfit, with the Red Devils set to earn £38 million from the sale.
Rasmus Hojlund to stay at Napoli
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna was quoted as saying: “There are no doubts. Rasmus will stay here.
“We have an obligation to buy from Manchester United, in case of Champions League access, but he is in our plans regardless of this condition.”
While a few former United players feel it would be a loss for the 20-time English league champions to lose the Denmark international, the harsh truth is that he was simply not ready for the step up in quality.
Signed from Atalanta for a mammoth £76 million in 2023, the 23-year-old struggled massively during his two-year spell at Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund not good enough for United
In his debut campaign, the centre-forward netted 16 times across all competitions before imploding in his sophomore season in the English top flight.
A mere 10 goals, including only four in the Premier League, and consistent below-par displays meant United had no choice but to cut him loose.
Ideally, he should have been the backup striker or at least had support in the form of an experienced head alongside him, and the Old Trafford side failed him in that regard.
But Benjamin Sesko has proved himself in a short span of time, which makes it even more apparent what a mistake it was for the club to sign the former FC Copenhagen ace.
For Napoli, Rasmus Hojlund has scored 14 goals in all competitions, with the club in second, behind Inter Milan. His sale will help United massively as they look to spend big in the summer after qualifying for the Champions League.

Arsenal could make surprising move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford
Arsenal could make a surprising move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are closely monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are in the market for a left winger, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard facing uncertainty over their futures at the Emirates Stadium.
Rashford joined Barcelona on loan last summer, and he has impressed with his displays in Spain.
The England international has bagged 13 goals and 14 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
The Catalan club can trigger his £26 million buy-out clause at the end of the season.
But they want to renegotiate that clause or even attempt to secure another loan move for him.
United have made it clear there will be no haggling over Rashford.
The Manchester titans are desperate to reduce their wage bill, and the forward’s salary is set to go above £300k-a-week that the club have secured Champions League qualification.
They would prefer to sell Rashford, who doesn’t look to have a long-term future at Old Trafford.
He is believed to be happy at Barcelona and is keen to extend his stay at the Camp Nou.
Manager Hansi Flick is also impressed with his performances, but Barca continue to explore possibilities to lower the £26m fee.
The La Liga club’s financial troubles are well known, and they need reinforcements in several areas.

Bayern Munich vs PSG – Match preview and team news
Bayern Munich welcomes PSG in a high-stakes UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena.
After a thrilling and highest-scoring match ever in a UCL semi-final last week, Vincent Kompany’s men will look to turn around their one-goal disadvantage in their favour and progress to the final in front of the home crowd.

- Date: Wednesday, 6th May.
- Kick-off: 8pm BST.
- Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich.
Bayern Munich team news
Bayern Munich enters the second leg with a largely stable squad as Serge Gnabry (thigh) is the only player ruled out for this encounter.
On a positive note, the Bavarians are bolstered by the return of teenager Lennart Karl and midfielder Tom Bischof, both of whom are back in the matchday squad.
Raphael Guerreiro is also back in the squad. Kompany is expected to stick to his attacking 4-2-3-1 setup.
After resting multiple players in the match against Heidenheim, Bayern are set to start with their strong core team spearheaded by Harry Kane, with the creative trio of Musiala, Olise, and Diaz tasked with overturning the one-goal deficit.
The defensive partnership of Upamecano and Tah will be under immense pressure to tighten up after conceding five in the opening leg.
PSG team news
PSG arrives in Munich with a significant tactical headache following a major injury to a defensive pillar.
Star right-back Achraf Hakimi is officially out for several weeks due to a hamstring strain suffered in the first leg, forcing Luis Enrique to rethink his backline.
Warren Zaire-Emery is the likely candidate to drop into the right-back role, a move that opens up a spot for Fabián Ruiz to start in a midfield trio alongside Vitinha and Neves.
The Parisians are also without keeper Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou. Despite the defensive reshuffle, PSG’s frontline remains frighteningly intact.
The duo of Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to be included in the starting XI after being rested over the weekend.
They, along with Desire Doue, will look to exploit Bayern’s high line on the counter-attack to protect their narrow one-goal lead and secure a place in the Champions League final.
Form
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich is in prolific scoring form, having already secured its 35th Bundesliga title after finding the net 116 times in 32 games. However, their defensive vulnerability is a growing concern; they have conceded 16 goals in their last six matches, including a wild 3-3 draw against Heidenheim over the weekend where they rotated heavily. Despite the 5-4 first-leg loss in Paris, they remain confident at home, where they have scored 3+ goals in eight of their last nine games.
PSG
PSG arrives as the reigning Champions League holders and currently leads Ligue 1 by six points with three games remaining. Their recent form has been mixed; while they secured a thrilling 5-4 victory in the first leg, they followed it up with a 2-2 draw against Lorient after resting most of their starting XI. Offensively, they are a juggernaut, having attempted more shots (282) than any other side in the competition this season, though their away record in Munich is historically poor.
Predicted lineups
Bayern Munich: Neuer; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Davies; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane
PSG: Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
