Giants Cut QB Jake Haener

The New York Giants are cutting quarterback Jake Haener, leaving only Jameis Winston behind starter Jaxson Dart.

The Giants are making roster moves at quarterback, waiving Haener after Brandon Allen's departure. The team may re-sign either Allen or Haener to the practice squad. somethingsdifferent.biz

Haener, who joined the Giants after the first preseason game, performed well in limited action, completing 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Allen also had a strong preseason, going 26-of-28 for 224 yards with two interceptions.
