NFLPA, NFLRA execs meet on referee work stoppage

Amidst growing concerns over a potential work stoppage, NFLPA Executive Director JC Tretter and NFLRA Executive Director Scott Green met Tuesday to discuss the necessity of trained, professional officials for player safety.

Tretter emphasized that real-time rule enforcement and game management cannot be replaced by less experienced crews or remote operations. Both executives highlighted the officials' critical role as first responders in maintaining order and preventing dangerous situations from escalating.
