Texans Sign RB Owen Wright

The Houston Texans have signed running back Owen Wright to their 90-man roster, waiving punter Jack Stonehouse in a corresponding move.

The Texans brought a new player into their backfield mix on Saturday. Wright, who went undrafted in 2023, previously played for the Ravens and Bucs. He appeared in one game for Baltimore in his rookie season and spent 2024 on injured reserve. Last season with Tampa Bay, Wright played in three games, running three times for six yards and returning three kickoffs. afsport.lat

Stonehouse, who went undrafted in April and signed with the Texans in May, has been waived. His departure leaves Kai Kroeger as the only punter currently on Houston's roster.
