Wilson Retires, Joins CBS as NFL Analyst

Russell Wilson officially announced his retirement from the NFL in a social media video, confirming he will join CBS as an analyst for 'The NFL Today.'

The third-round pick in 2012 made nine Pro Bowls in 10 seasons with the Seahawks, winning a Super Bowl. After being traded to the Broncos in 2022, Wilson had brief stints in Denver, Pittsburgh, and most recently with the Giants. xsportfeed.life

The Jets had shown interest in adding Wilson as a backup to Geno Smith, but ultimately, Wilson chose a career in broadcasting over continuing to play. His Hall of Fame candidacy will be debated, with former Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty previously placing him in the second tier of NFL quarterbacks during their overlapping careers.
