Paula Badosa earned a wild card into the inaugural Linz Open after her Charleston run, where she reached the round of 16 with wins over Kayla Day and Maria Sakkari before falling to Anna Kalinskaya. With a ranking of 102, the Spaniard is looking to use the Austrian event to close the gap back into the top 100.
The tournament, held from 6–12 April, features a field with only eight top‑40 players and has seen several withdrawals, including Emma Raducanu and Clara Tauson. Badosa joins Mirra Andreeva and others as wild cards, giving her a chance to play freely without defending points.
