Bears Sign Wright to Record OT Extension

The Chicago Bears have extended All-Pro offensive tackle Darnell Wright to a record-breaking four-year, $116 million contract with $93 million guaranteed.

The extension makes Wright the highest-paid right tackle in NFL history and gives him the most guaranteed money ever for an offensive lineman. Selected 10th overall in 2023, Wright has quickly established himself as a cornerstone of Chicago's rebuild under general manager Ryan Poles. biznow.biz

Wright earned second-team All-Pro honors last season, becoming the first Bears offensive lineman to receive the honor since Kyle Long in 2014. His 81.4 Pro Football Focus grade ranked 14th among all tackles, while his elite 85.6 run-blocking grade was sixth in the league.
