Blue Jays’ Max Scherzer Pulled After Two Innings vs. Dodgers

Left-hander Josh Fleming entered the game in the top of the third inning. Scherzer, 41, allowed two hits, two runs, and one walk while striking out two on 36 pitches. His fastball velocity was notably down at 92.1 mph.

Sportsnet reported the veteran righty told the dugout he was "OK" during his first inning of work. This follows a similar early exit for Eric Lauer on Sunday due to illness. The Blue Jays are currently dealing with significant attrition in their rotation.
