Crane: Espada's Future to Consider After Playoff Berth

Jim Crane acknowledged the Astros reaching the postseason will be 'something to consider' when discussing Espada's potential new deal. The manager's future has been in question since the Astros parted ways with general manager Dana Brown last month, though Crane denied the move impacted the team's performance.

The Astros became the first MLB team to make the playoffs with a .500 record (81-81), securing their ninth postseason appearance in 10 years. They'll host the Chicago White Sox in a best-of-three Wild Card Series starting Tuesday. Crane emphasized that while there have been no recent talks about Espada's contract, they'll discuss his future after the season concludes. truewildgame.com
