Gavi Injured Again, Barcelona Worried

Barcelona's Gavi was forced off in the first half against Elche with a suspected knee injury to the same knee that required ACL surgery in 2023.

Barcelona midfielder Gavi was substituted in the 45th minute of their 5-0 victory over Elche due to discomfort in his right knee. The injury affects the same knee that he tore his ACL and meniscus in November 2023, keeping him out for an extended period.

Coach Hansi Flick stated after the match that they will wait for the results of an MRI scan. "It's in the knee. We must wait and see.
