Georgia State Unveils 5-Year Plan to Boost Fundraising and Attendance

Georgia State University Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to raise $10M in fundraising and increase fan attendance by 50%, focusing on new facilities and student‑athlete revenue sharing.

The strategy, led by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb, will appoint a general manager to drive revenue growth and expand NIL opportunities. It aims to boost the department’s competitive profile and strengthen ties to campus and community.

Key projects include a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, and additional courts and venues in the Summerhill neighborhood, while student‑athletes could receive over $3M in revenue sharing.
