Holmes dominates as Mets crush Giants 9-0

Clay Holmes threw seven scoreless innings, striking out four and walking two, to anchor a 9‑0 win over the San Francisco Giants. The Mets’ offense also surged, with Bo Bichette going 3‑for‑5 on Friday and 2‑for‑5 on Saturday, driving in three runs.

Mark Vientos added a two‑run single, and the combined 12‑run offense capped the Mets’ first back‑to‑back win since opening day. Holmes’ 1.42 ERA and 61 strikes set a strong tone for the New York club.
