Illinois Fires Softball Head Coach Tyra Perry

Illinois athletic director Josh Whitman announced Monday that the university has fired softball head coach Tyra Perry following an 11-year tenure.

Despite early success, including four NCAA regional appearances in the first six years, the team finished 15-39 this season with a 3-20 conference record. A national search will begin immediately to replace Perry, who was the second coach in program history. sweetbonanza-app.com
