NBA Approves Trail Blazers Sale to Dundon

The NBA Board of Governors has unanimously approved the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group led by Tom Dundon, valued at $4.25 billion.

The sale, finalized with a unanimous vote, transfers ownership from the Paul Allen Trust to Dundon's group. All proceeds will be directed to charitable organizations as required by the trust.

Dundon takes over a team with state-approved upgrades to the Moda Center. The Trail Blazers feature veterans like Jrue Holiday and Damian Lillard alongside younger stars including Deni Avdija, Sharron Sharpe, and Scoot Henderson. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver praised Dundon as "a go-getter" with "enormous passion and spirit."
