Padres Minor League Teams in Action This Week

The San Diego Padres' minor league affiliates are in full swing this week, with the El Paso Chihuahuas and San Antonio Missions kicking off their seasons.

The El Paso Chihuahuas are off to a 2-2 start, highlighted by a strong rehab debut from pitcher Matt Waldron. Waldron tossed three innings, allowing two hits and no runs while averaging 93 mph on his fastball and incorporating his knuckleball.

The San Antonio Missions open their season Thursday against the Tulsa Drillers. The roster features top prospect RHP Miguel Mendez and C Ethan Salas, with utility player Wyatt Hoffman, son of Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman, joining the team.
