Former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is on trial at Crystal Palace after being sidelined by knee injuries over the past two seasons.

The 27-year-old Japanese defender, who has struggled with serious knee problems, has been without a club since late June. Tomiyasu recently played for Japan in the World Cup, featuring in 184 minutes across four matches.
