Barcelona Adjust Itinerary for Newcastle Clash

Barcelona have altered their travel schedule, opting for a direct flight from Bilbao to Newcastle after their match against Athletic Club to maximise rest before the Champions League first leg.

Barcelona will stay Saturday night in Bilbao, then fly directly to Newcastle on Sunday, bypassing a connecting flight or return to Barcelona. The move aims to give players optimal rest before the away fixture at St. James’ Park.

The team will train Monday afternoon at St. James’ Park, followed by a press conference with Hansi Flick and a player. They previously beat Newcastle 2-1 in the season opener.
