Flyers win third in a row with shootout decision over struggling Maple Leafs

Matvei Michkov and Trevor Zegras scored in the shootout as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Monday.

Noah Cates scored with 5:18 remaining in regulation to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead, but William Nylander tied the game on a power play with 2:30 left. Michkov and Zegras sealed the shootout win for the Flyers.

Travis Konecny missed the game for Philadelphia due to a lower-body injury. Toronto outshot the Flyers 31-25, with Anthony Stolarz making 23 saves.
